Fin min: Russia should revise participation in many internl bodies
MOSCOW, Apr 15 (PRIME) -- Russia should revise its participation in many international organizations and development institutions and stay only in the most important ones from the point of foreign policy, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said Wednesday at a meeting of the Federation Council, the parliament’s upper house.
“When we were faced with budget optimization issues, we saw that Russia participates in a vast number of different funds and international organizations that are not very important from my point of view. But we still pay fees everywhere,” Siluanov said.
“I think we should seriously study the subject and revise our participation in some of these associations and organizations, and leave only the key ones, the most important for the political component of our foreign policy.”
